To highlight the difference in quality of life when the actor is homeless compared to before then, we decided to make use of two main areas for our filming. We decided that the cold harsh concrete of an urban environment provided a sutiable location for us to film the homeless scenes, because of ease of access as well as having local knowledge of good psots to film we decided to use Maidstone town center as our base for all urban shots. We used a different contrast of locations within Maidstone such as Fremlins walk which allowed us to get very empty shots while still in a high street environment and a lot of backstreet alleyways which allowed us to show the dirty and grimy conditions our actor was living in.

 

A main advantage to using Maidstone as our filming locaiton was that we could all easily get into the town to film as we all live close by and we also all know our way around Maidstone so we could get optimal shots in a variety of locations around maidstone. The main downside to this location however was the inclusion of the general public and having to work around them, luckily there is no content in our peice that could be considered threatining to the public and so filming warnings and notices would not have to be put up, however it may be hard working our shots around.

 

Our rural shots are then broken down into two further locations, the first of which being Barming Woods. Initially when brainstorming shot ideas and themes we decided that it would be good to try and include a well lit open space rural location. We decided that Barming woods would be an ideal shoot location as not only does it have this, it also has dense woods in case we wanted to branch out into any other shots. As well as this Barming woods is relatively close to maidstone and was easily accessible to the whole group

 

Our final shoot location is Detling Hill, we used this for the performance shots as it seperated the performer from the actor and allowed us to include a lot of impressive scenenery. As well as this Detling hill is also a generally quiet location and so interruptances from members of the general public was not a huge worry to us.
